March and occupation of land in Suurbraak. Reinette is speaking about the injustice faced by the community. The Democratic Alliance controlled municipality wants to add fees to community facilities, such as the town hall and recreational spaces. The municipality also wants to sell land that belongs to the community without the due compensation. The promised houses has also not been built, despite the great need. In addition, the money promised for infrastructure projects has instead been spent on corporative projects. "We've been waiting for 20 years for houses. If we are not heard, we will close the roads the next!" Says Reinette. /Sofia

My name is Penny and I am currently working for IFWEA as program assistant. Before that I worked for LRS for six years. The reason why I work for labour support organizations is because I value their contributions to advancing workers struggles through education, I believe that this work is very important in order to help workers realize their labour rights, primarily labour rights for women. #gränslössolidaritet
